Hey there [FIRST NAME GOES HERE],

Finding Your Voice in Difficult Times

Like so many others, I’m feeling the shock of what we’ve witnessed in the news and what we’re living through.

We’ve been navigating political, economic, and power disruptions globally for years now. There has always been unrest, war, and conflict—but lately it feels heightened, as though we’re standing at a point of no return. And that is deeply unsettling.

This isn’t meant to be a political message.

What concerns me most is when politics becomes more important than humanity when sides matter more than people.

With so much injustice now visible, with evidence we can’t easily look away from, we’re being asked to respond. If we don’t, there is a real risk to our humanity.

I’m feeling a lot of sadness right now. A deep sense of loss. And I don’t think I’m alone.

Many of us are carrying this after what we’ve seen in the news, the tragedy, the fear, the lack of safety people are experiencing.

It takes a toll. And lately, it feels like it goes beyond that into something that makes you angry, unsettled, and questioning what is even possible anymore.

What’s unfolding in the United States is frightening and surreal, and it hasn’t come out of nowhere. Things have been building for a long time.

What has made this feel especially heavy for me is the awareness that we are not just living this for ourselves. Many of us have children. We care deeply about the world they are growing into and the values they will carry forward.

My youngest has a birthday today, and moments like that causes me to reflect.

What kind of world are we creating? And what message are we sending by what we tolerate, what we ignore, and what we stand up for?

Our children learn from us.

They absorb how we respond to injustice, how we treat others, and whether we choose courage or comfort. When inhumanity is tolerated, even quietly, that becomes a risk they inherit as they grow.

What strikes me is how conditioned we’ve become to keep a low profile. To be careful. To play along just enough.

Our Prime Minister recently said, that if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. That landed for me.

Because it speaks to why we have to find our voice. When we minimize ourselves, when we believe we’re not significant enough, powerful enough, or influential enough, that eventually harms us. It catches up with us.

I think many of us underestimate our value. We assume influence belongs to those with more power or visibility.

But we all matter.

We all have influence.

And when people unite around shared values and beliefs, the impact can be extraordinary.

Sometimes we need evidence of that.
And often, it shows up in the darkest moments.

It’s in these moments that our values become clear. Our identity becomes clear. We are defined by what we believe and by the choices we make in alignment with those beliefs.

Injustice has a way of pushing us inward, asking us to examine what we stand for and what we’re no longer willing to stay silent about.

When we allow that inner clarity to be expressed outwardly, there is real power in it. That is where our value lives and we dismiss it far too often.

Yes, we need calm.
But we also need conviction.

There are no easy answers. And I don’t have them.

This is hard, ugly, heartbreaking stuff. But our humanity is on the line. And the choices we make now don’t just shape our lives, they shape the world our children will live in.

A final note, please be kind to yourself.

Be mindful of the impact all of this has on your body, mind, and spirit. Protecting your mental health matters. But so does staying aware. When we turn away completely, we risk complacency. Stay informed, but grounded. Care for yourself, but don’t disengage.

Only you can decide what’s right for you.

Sending love.

Marianne.

UPCOMING: February 4th & 11th 5:30-8:30pm

The Confident Woman – A Values-Led Vision Workshop is a two-part, in-person experience for women who know it’s time to make themselves a priority again.

Not by pushing harder.
But by slowing down, getting clear, and listening inward.

Over two evenings, we’ll create space to explore:

  • What truly matters to you now
  • The values that guide your decisions and how to turn those values into a clear, action-oriented vision for the year ahead
  • You will create an intuitive vision map and traditional vision board.
  • Learn simple, practical tools to stay connected to that vision

We’ll be working across mind, body, and spirit, because confidence is not just about mindset. It lives in how you feel in your body and how connected you are to yourself.

The investment for this two-part workshop is $175.
