Don’t let summer slip away — here’s how to finish strong
Two Weeks to Finish Summer with Intention
Two weeks. That’s all we have left of summer. You can spend them scrolling, stressing, and letting the days blur together… or you can choose, right now, to make the most of them.
This isn’t about being perfect, checking every box, or turning your days into a high-performance challenge. It’s about being intentional.
Set yourself a small, joyful goal — enough to give you focus without feeling weighed down. Without some aim, we tend to drift, and drifting often leads to that late-August feeling of, “Where did the time go? I didn’t do the things I wanted.”
I’ve made my own plan, and it’s simple: five categories that matter most to me right now. My intention is to do five things in each category before summer ends. If five feels like too much, pick three… or even one. Let this be fun, not another thing you “should” do.
Summer Fun Through the Generations
The 5-for-5 Summer Finish Challenge
(Or 3-for-3… or 1-for-1. You get to choose.)
1️⃣ Social Engagement
Summer is fleeting — be part of the energy around you.
Go to a local festival or market.
Have a picnic in the park with a friend.
See an outdoor play or live music.
Visit a new café or restaurant.
Explore a hidden gem in your town.
2️⃣ Health
Treat your body like gold — because it is.
Move your body for at least 30 minutes a day.
Drink enough water every single day.
Eat one meal each day made with the best quality ingredients you can afford.
Book any overdue medical or wellness check-ups.
Get 7–8 hours of sleep (no excuses).
3️⃣ Personal Growth
Feed your mind and spirit.
Spend 20 minutes a day reading or learning something new.
Journal, meditate, or reflect each morning.
Take a class or workshop you’ve been curious about.
Revisit a passion you’ve neglected.
Plan one thing for September that excites you.
4️⃣ Finances
Free yourself from the weight of money stress.
Go two weeks without any impulse spending.
Find a low-cost or free way to have fun.
Cook at home instead of eating out.
Review expenses and cancel something you no longer use.
Set aside a small amount for something that genuinely nourishes you.
5️⃣ Fun & Laughter
Joy is medicine. Give yourself a daily dose.
Watch a comedy or feel-good movie marathon.
Host a themed dinner night.
Spend an afternoon doing something purely for play.
Have a “fun call” with a friend — no complaining, just laughter.
Try something new and slightly ridiculous, just because you can.
Coaching Takeaway: When September arrives, I want you to be able to say, “I lived it. I nourished my body, mind, and spirit. I created joy on purpose.”
You’ve got two weeks. Make them yours.
